1. When He had spoken these things, He turned to Peter and said, "Peter, do you love Me?" And Peter said, "Yes, Lord, You know that I love You."
2. Jesus said to him, "Then care for My sheep."
3. And He asked again, "Peter, do you love Me?" And Peter said, "Yes, Lord, You know that I do."
4. And Jesus said "Then lead My sheep."
5. A third time, Jesus asked, "Peter, do you truly love Me?" And Peter was grieved, because He knew why the Lord was asking him a third time, and he said, "Lord, You know all things. You know that I love You."
6. Jesus said, "Then feed My sheep.
7. "For, when you were young, you dressed yourself and you went where you wanted to go, but when you are old, you will reach out your hand and others will dress you and lead you where you do not want to go. So, follow Me."
8. Then Peter turned and looked at John and said, "What about Him, Lord? Is it the same for Him?"
9. And Jesus said, "If I want him to remain until I return, what is that to you? You follow Me."
10. Christ performed many other signs. So many, that perhaps there are not enough books to contain them.
11. But these things have been written that you might see and believe in Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit, and that by believing in Him, you will inherit eternal life in His name.
